Raiders Climbing, 49ers Falling In Latest Super Bowl 50 Odds

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - The 49ers and Raiders have made so many changes this offseason that even A's GM Billy Beane is impressed. But what do all of the player moves and coaching changes mean for each team's chances of holding the Lombardi Trophy at Levi's Stadium next February? Vegas oddmakers say they're both long shots. But while the Raiders are improving, experts think the 49ers are losing more than they have gained.

As of March 2nd, the 49ers were a 20-1 shot to win it all, according to Bovada. But after the free agency window opened March 10th, the 49ers saw Frank Gore, Mike Iupati and others sign elsewhere, while also losing Patrick Willis and Chris Borland to retirement. The Result? The 49ers are now 33-1 to win it all, ranked alongside the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins and other teams you don't necessarily associate with the playoffs.

At the same time, the Raiders have jumped from the longest shot in the field 200-1 to a 75-1 bet on the strength of signing Malcom Smith, Rodney Hudson, Dan Williams and veteran depth at running back and quarterback. There are still only four teams with longer odds, but hey, progress! At least they're ahead of the Jaguars.

The Seattle Seahawks remain the overall favorite at 6-1. Get the full lines from Bovada here.

What do you think? Do the Raiders or 49ers have a better shot at appearing in Super Bowl 50?
