Woman Claims UberX Driver Raped Her In Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS SF) -- A Philadelphia woman has alleged that an UberX driver raped her after being picked up last month.
The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating the alleged incident in which the woman was sexually assaulted and held against her will in the car for over two hours, PhillyMag reported.
San Francisco-based Uber spokesperson Taylor Bennett said "Our thoughts and prayers are with our rider."
Uber faced criticism over the safety of its service after a driver allegedly attacked by a driver with a hammer in San Francisco.
