Weather Pattern Change That Could Put Dent In California's Drought...Likely Won't Happen
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- That weather pattern change Californians have been hoping could make a dent in the drought won't be happening.
Rainfall amounts typically drop significantly once we get past Easter, and below-average precipitation has been predicted for the Bay Area through early April.
The outlook from NOAA forecasts the drought to persist or intensify throughout all of California through June.
NOAA's six to ten day precipitation outlook map shows more than half of California, including all of the Bay Area with a probability of 80-90 percent below normal rainfall levels.
