Salesforce Charters Luxury Cruise Ship For Those Without Hotel Rooms For Dreamforce Conference In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – For the thousands who attend Dreamforce in San Francisco this September, there is a brand new option for accommodations – and it will be docked at Pier 27.

Salesforce has partnered with Celebrity Cruises, chartering a luxury cruise ship, the Dream Boat, that will be docked in San Francisco Bay throughout the conference, which is being held from September 15-18 this year.

The ship offers both suites and staterooms, and there will be multiple dining options, lounges, nightly entertainment, and activities on each deck. A four night minimum stay is required.

Wireless Internet access will be available on the Dream Boat, and there will also be an iLounge available 24 hours a day. The lounge is equipped with 20 Apple computers and a printer.

An interior stateroom, measuring 170 square feet, goes for $250 per night. The room includes a sitting area and flat screen TV. For those who want to splurge, the premium suite with veranda is 732 square feet. It offers separate dining and living areas, walk-in closets and a 552 square foot private veranda with lounge seating. That is the most pricey option on the Dream Boat, at $850 a night, plus tax and gratuity.

Check-in begins on Monday, September 14 after 10:00 a.m. and all guests must be checked out by Friday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m.

There were 135,000 registered attendees for Dreamforce last year, leaving hotel rooms in San Francisco at a premium.
