Bomb Squad Investigates Suspicious Package Left Near Caltrain Station In San Jose

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A police bomb squad responded to suspicious boxes at Stockton Avenue and West Taylor Street in San Jose Friday morning, according to police.

The bomb squad responded to the suspicious package at about 7:45 a.m., spokesman Officer Albert Morales said in a statement.

Morales said there have been no evacuations but that roads are closed in the area.

An employee at nearby Paul's Quick Stop Liquor said police arrived at a driveway near the intersection of the two streets after 8 a.m. and he has been told to stay inside while police investigate the package.

The man said police have cordoned off both directions of Stockton Avenue and both directions of West Taylor Street in the investigation.

"I'm staying inside," the man said. "I'm just watching."
