Gov. Brown Releases Emails From Personal Account In Wake Of Hillary Clinton Controversy

SACRAMENTO (CBS SF) – Gov. Jerry Brown has taken the unusual step of releasing his personal e-mails, releasing 113 pages sent from his personal account to his staff.

The disclosure comes after the governor responded to the controversy over likely presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's use of personal e-mail while she was Secretary of State.

Brown said even though it's not required by state law, he has no problem releasing his emails.

The Sacramento Bee, which made the request, reports the emails are mostly routine: and cover topics such as high-speed rail and the University of California.
