Michael Crabtree Departs 49ers, Signs Deal With Raiders

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- After six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, wide receiver Michael Crabtree will play across the Bay in with the Oakland Raiders, the team confirmed Monday night.

Earlier on Monday, sources told ESPN that Crabtree has agreed to terms for a deal with Oakland. The Silver and Black are in need for receivers for second-year quarterback Derek Carr.

The team and Crabtree posted tweets Monday evening confirming the deal:

Over six seasons with San Francisco, the receiver played 79 games and made 347 receptions for 4,327 yards. His best season was in 2012, when Crabtree made 85 catches for 1,105 yards, as the 49ers won the NFC Championship and made a Super Bowl appearance.

In 2013, Crabtree was sidelined for much of the season after receiving surgery for a torn right Achilles tendon.

Crabtree was drafted by the 49ers from Texas Tech as the 10th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.

The team has not made an announcement Monday night.
