LucasFilm Confirms Plans For 5th Indiana Jones Film

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - If your inner 8 year old was thrilled to hear that the Star Wars franchise was revived, hold on to your lightsaber - Indiana Jones is coming back too.

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy confirmed the rumors, according to Vanity Fair, saying the Harrison Ford vehicle "will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I'm not quite sure. We haven't started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it."

The interview was done for a Vanity Fair cover story.

Fans have been anticipating the possibility of Indy's return since Disney acquired rights to the Lucas properties three years ago. LucasFilm is nearly ready to roll out the most anticipated project from the merger, a new Star Wars film, later this year.

The last film in Indiana Jones the series - Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - was released in 2008 to largely negative reviews from fans of the series.
