2 Moms With Strollers Attacked On Popular San Rafael Trail; Predator Warning Issued

SAN RAFAEL (KCBS)— San Rafael police are warning the public that a violent sexual predator may be in the area after two recent attacks on women in the city.

Both assaults, which happened three and five months ago, took place on a pathway behind the Target store near the end of Bellam Blvd.

The women were both pushing strollers with their babies inside when they were knocked down into bushes near the path.

In both cases, the suspect warned the women that he would harm their child if they screamed. He sexually assaulted the women and then took off.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male who was dressed in black clothing.

Anyone with information about the crimes is asked to contact the San Rafael Police Department,(415) 485-3000 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222.8477. Callers can remain anonymous and may earn a possible reward. Tips can be made online at bayareacrimestoppers.org
