14 Water Bottle Brands Recalled Over E. Coli Fears

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - E. coli concerns have caused a California-based water bottle company to issue a voluntary recall.

Niagara bottling pulled fourteen of its brands off of the shelves Monday after the operator of a spring that supplies the water failed to report evidence of E. coli.

There is no indication that any water in circulation has been contaminated. Niagara says it routinely checks water to make sure it is safe to consume.

While the company is based in California, the bottling facilities in question are actually in Pennsylvania.

"This recall only relates to spring water produced in our Pennsylvania manufacturing facilities from June 10-18th, 2015.  It does not relate to any purified water or any spring water produced outside of Pennsylvania or outside the June 10-18th, 2015 timeframe," reads the press release from Niagara.

Many of the brands involved are not widely available in California. Here's a complete list of the labels recalled:

Acadia Spring Water
Acme Spring Water
Big Y Spring Water

Pricerite Spring Water
