First Ever Television Commercial For Legal Marijuana Expected To Air
(KCBS) - Television history will be made by a TV station in Denver.
MarketWatch reports that KMGH will be the first TV station to run a commercial for a legal marijuana firm.
The pot spot for cannabis-extract company Neos will run at night before the Jimmy Kimmel show.
Marketing agency Cannabrand tells MarketWatch that the commercial follows Colorado's cannabis advertising regulations, which ban images of marijuana and marketing to minors, including not allowing the spots to run during programs where there is reliable evidence that more than 30-percent of the audience is under 21.
Cannabrand says the first 15-second ad doesn't even mention or show marijuana.
