UPDATE: All services were restored shortly after 10 a.m. PT.

(CBS SF) -- Apple said it's experiencing some issues with its App Store, Apple Music, iTunes Store and some other services Tuesday morning.

The problems were reported just before 7 a.m PT, according to Apple's System Status page.

"We are investigating and will update the status as more information becomes available," Apple said.

Tech news blog Apple Insider said the disruption was likely caused by excess traffic associated with the announcement of MTV's 2015 Video Music Awards nominees, exclusively revealed on Apple's Beats 1 music service.

Other services impacted include Apple TV, iBooks Store, Radio, OS X Software Update and the Mac App Store.
