Private Cars Banned From Turning Onto Parts Of Market Street Starting Tuesday
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- Monday is the final day for private cars on the downtown stretch of Market Street in San Francisco.
Starting Tuesday, private cars will be banned from turning onto Market Street between Third and Eighth streets.
MUNI buses, taxis, delivery trucks and private shuttles can still use that part of the street.
Ride sharing service cars like Lyft and Uber are part of the man.

The idea is to make this part of Market Street safer for pedestrians and bicyclists while speeding up MUNI service.
