Man Snaps Selfie On BART Tracks Prompting Systemwide Delays Monday Night

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A person who reportedly took a selfie on BART tracks Monday night caused systemwide delays.

According to the Contra Costa Times, BART trains were delayed for approximately 30 minutes after a rider laid down on the tracks at an Oakland station.

A family member of the rider contacted police who were able to trace his cell phone, but showed he was no longer within the BART system.

If he's located, police said they'll pursue criminal prosecution for interfering with railroad activity.
