Man Driving Home After Winning $9000 At NorCal Casino Robbed At Gunpoint
JAMESTOWN (CBS/AP) -- Authorities are seeking a man and a woman in connection with an armed robbery that left a casino winner out of thousands of dollars.
It happened on Highway 49 near Chinese Camp.
A man was driving home on after winning $9,000 Thursday at Chicken Ranch Casino located in the Sierra Foothills. A woman standing next to a pickup truck with its hood up flagged him to stop.
The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office says that when he pulled over to assist, a man held him at gunpoint and demanded the money.
The man denied having any money, but the male suspect told him he knew he had won at the casino and continued demanding the money.
The man then gave the male suspect the money and both suspects got into the pickup and drove away.
