Drug Company CEO Goes On Twitter Tirade Against Bernie Sanders Over Donation Rebuffed
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A pharmaceutical company CEO has taken to Twitter in a tirade against presidential candidate Bernie Sanders after he reportedly rejected a donation.
Shkreli had appeared to endorse Sanders' bid for the White House, but WTKR reports that when Sanders effectively rejected Shkreli's donation by pledging to donate the same amount to a health clinic, Shkreli took to Twitter to express his anger.
Martin Shkreli tweeted Sunday, "SO ANGRY AT @BernieSanders I COULD PUNCH A WALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1."
Shkreli came under scrutiny after his company dramatically raised the price of a popular drug.
He later tweeted another jab at Sanders writing, "Bernie Sanders @BernieSanders @SenSanders raised the donation requested from his supporters by 755% in one day. Price gouging."
