Vegetation Fire Extinguished Behind San Jose High School
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A small vegetation fire was extinguished behind Yerba Buena High School near Kelley Park in San Jose Thursday afternoon, a fire dispatcher said.
The half-acre fire was reported at 1:17 p.m. in the area behind the school at 1855 Lucretia Ave., near Coyote Creek, according to the fire department.
It was moving slowly and firefighters had it under control by about 2:10 p.m., fire officials said. No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged.
