Normal BART Service Resumes After Equipment Problems Cause Delays
FREMONT (CBS SF) -- Normal service has resumed on two BART lines in the East Bay equipment problems caused major delays on Tuesday morning.
They were single-tracking trains because there was third rail power failure between Fruitvale and Coliseum.
The problem was reported around 6:00 a.m. and was causing major delays on the Fremont and the Dublin lines.
BART was advising commuters on those lines to find alternate transportation, but at 7:15 a.m. said they had resolved the problem.
