Fresno Father Saves Twins From Drowning In Family Swimming Pool

FRESNO (AP) — A father saved his two-year-old twins after they fell into the Fresno family's green and murky swimming pool.

The girl was admitted to the hospital for observation and is in stable condition Thursday. The boy is in guarded condition and was admitted to the intensive care unit.

On Thursday morning, the father left the children alone in a relative's home while they played.

When the father was in the bathroom the twins got out a sliding glass door and into the backyard.

The father searched for them and found his daughter floating face up on top of the water. He pulled her to safety. His son was at the bottom of the deep end. The father jumped in and rescued him. He did CPR on both children and got them breathing again.

Detectives were interviewing the father.
