All Lanes Of I-680 Reopen After Big-Rig Crash, Lumber Spill
ALAMEDA CO. (CBS SF) -- Southbound Interstate Highway 680 has reopened Thursday afternoon after a big-rig crashed and spilled lumber that blocked lanes of the highway for several hours, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported around 6:10 a.m. on southbound Highway 680 just north of state Highway 84.
CHP officials initially said two vehicles were involved, but later clarified that a lone big-rig crashed, spilling lumber onto the two right southbound lanes of the three-lane highway.
No one was injured in the crash, CHP Officer Kevin Bartlett said.

The middle lane reopened at about 9:35 a.m. and the far right lane reopened by 1:20 p.m. after crews cleared the lumber from the roadway, Bartlett said.
