Manhunt For Boyfriend Who Allegedly Stabbed San Mateo Woman To Death

SAN MATEO (KPIX 5) -- San Mateo police evacuated and searched an urgent care clinic where they thought the suspect in a deadly domestic violence dispute was hiding on Saturday.

It all started around noon when a 34-year-old woman called 911 and said she'd been stabbed. By the time police arrived at her home on South 'B' Street it was too late. She had died.

Police said the victim's boyfriend is the suspect. His car was found abandoned in a parking structure in San Carlos.

At first authorities thought he was hiding at the Sutter Health San Carlos Urgent Care Center, on Industrial Road. They set up a perimeter, SWAT teams were brought in, and the facility was evacuated. The suspect was not found but police have identified him.

"The suspect in this case is Anthony Kirincic. He is a 22-year-old male, has various addresses here on the peninsula and we are actively looking for him," said Captain Dave Norris of the San Mateo Police Department.

Police said Kirincic has a checkered past. They've been called to the victim's San Mateo home several times on domestic calls.

Police consider Kirincic armed and dangerous.
