Middle School Teacher Charged With Sex Acts With 14-Year-Old Student

SACRAMENTO (CBS SF) -- A middle school teacher is facing felony charges of lewd acts with a minor.

Mysti Moriah Mingenfelter allegedly had oral sex in her classroom and on a camping trip with a 14-year-old student.

The 35-year-old Foothill Ranch Middle School teacher appeared in Sacramento Superior Court Tuesday, but did not enter a plea.

In a complaint filed by the District Attorney's office Mingenfelter and the student, identified as Troy. P., allegedly had five encounters -- two in the middle school camping trip, two during a 2-day camping trip, and another at an undisclosed location.

Lingenfelter was arrested, but is free on bail.

According to the Sacramento Bee, Twin Rivers Unified School District has placed Lingenfelter on paid administrative leave.
