Rohnert Park Police Arrest Wanted Suspect, Find Stolen Gun After Chase

ROHNERT PARK (CBS SF) – Police in Rohnert Park on Tuesday arrested a Fremont man on suspicion of a handful of charges after he allegedly led officers on a foot pursuit when they tried to take him into custody on an outstanding warrant.

Thomas Daniel Little Cloud, 30, was arrested on suspicion of multiple charges related to the possession of firearms, possession of narcotics, resisting or obstructing an officer, possession of explosives and on an outstanding warrant, police said.

A Rohnert Park detective was driving on Golf Course Drive at Highway 101 in an unmarked police vehicle when a black 2015 Audi A6 pulled in front of him in an unsafe manner, police said.

The detective followed the vehicle to a motel at 6145 Commerce Blvd., where he saw the driver, later identified as Little Cloud, had gotten out of the vehicle.

The detective contacted a female passenger, identified as Erica Rojo, 26, of Union City, who admitted to the detective she had marijuana in her purse, police said.

Little Cloud returned to the vehicle as patrol officers arrived, and the officers determined he had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest out of Alameda County for violating his Post Release Community Supervision as a convicted felon, police said.

The officers tried to take him into custody, but he was able to pull away by shedding a jacket he was wearing and flee by jumping over a concrete wall.

Officers chased Little Cloud down a creek path and saw him jump a fence toward a storage facility.

The detective searched Little Cloud's jacket and discovered a loaded revolver in the pocket, police said.

The detective found another loaded handgun in a backpack on the back seat of the vehicle, police said.

The gun was later determined to have been stolen from San Mateo.

The search also uncovered identification belonging to other people, multiple gift cards and bank access cards that appeared to be fraudulent, altered or in other people's names, heroin, methamphetamine, prescription pills and small baggies, police said.

Police said they located Little Cloud hiding in a storage unit, and he was taken into custody with the assistance of a police K-9.

A knife was also found in the storage unit, which Little Cloud said he planned to use on a police K-9, police said.

He was transported to the hospital for lacerations he suffered when he jumped the fence and when he was taken into custody with the assistance of the police dog, police said.

Erica Rojo, who was found in possession of pepper spray, was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of tear gas, police said.
