Antioch Police Officers Band Together To Save Christmas For Burglarized Family
ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- Police officers in Antioch banded together to save Christmas for a family after a burglar broke into their home.
$2,000 was stolen from an Antioch family's home that mom Amanda had saved to take her kids to Disneyland.
Officers called her in to the station to look at a photo lineup of suspects, but instead, officers Loren Bledsoe and Steven Aiello had a surprise for her.
"We spread the story with all the other officers in the department, and together we were able to raise over $2,000 to send you and your family to Disneyland. Merry Christmas," Officer Bledsoe said to the woman when she arrived.
Amanda and her kids were overjoyed by the gesture.
The burglary was still under investigation.
