Horse Killed After Winds Topple Trees At Popular Equestrian Center In Petaluma
PETALUMA (CBS SF) -- A horse was killed when heavy winds combined with rain toppled several trees at a horse park in Petaluma.
Sonoma County fire crews responded to the accident at the Sonoma Horse Park on Lakeview Highway, in Petaluma around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
There were several toppled trees at the horse park. Apparently, a mature tree fell directly onto the paddock just outside the horse's stall.
Sonoma Horse Park is a popular, 85-acre horse show facility. It hosts several equestrian competitions each year.
