Police Say Man Who Crashed Into Parked Cars In Pleasant Hill Was Under The Influence

PLEASANT HILL (CBS SF) -- A man who crashed into three parked vehicles and overturned late Tuesday night in Pleasant Hill was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, police said.

On Tuesday at 11:44 p.m., police officers responded to the area of Contra Costa Boulevard and Boyd Road in downtown Pleasant Hill based on reports of a multiple-vehicle accident.

Police said the officers determined that a Cadillac STX overturned after it struck three unoccupied vehicles that were parked along the road.

The driver, identified by police as 36-year-old Walnut Creek resident Glenn Castro, was arrested after an investigation on suspicion of DUI.

He was then taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries not considered life threatening and released there with a promise to appear in court, police said.

No further details on the incident were provided.
