Suspect Arrested In Connection To Pleasant Hill Video Game Store Robberies

PLEASANT HILL (CBS SF) -- A Pittsburg man was arrested Thursday in connection with two robberies at Pleasant Hill video game stores.

Richard Luis Hernandez, 27, was arrested on two counts of suspicion of robbery.

Pleasant Hill police responded Thursday at 2:11 p.m. to a GameStop at 552 Contra Costa Blvd. on a report of a robbery.

Police said the suspect had fled the business before officers arrived and was not located.

At 7:02 p.m., officers responded to a GameStop at 2360 Monument Blvd. on a report of an individual who was refusing to leave the store.

Officers located Hernandez at the store and discovered he was in possession of a replica firearm, police said.

Hernandez was detained, and officers determined he was committing a robbery at the store, police said.

Police said further investigation revealed Hernandez was also responsible for the earlier robbery at the GameStop on Contra Costa Boulevard.
