Fairfield Police Searching For Woman Shown Flinging Dog On Surveillance Footage

FAIRFIELD (CBS SF) -- Police in Fairfield are investigating a case of possible animal cruelty after a video recording surfaced showing a woman flinging a dog to the ground during an argument with a man.

The video clip posted to Facebook by David Shields has been viewed over 40,000 times in just over a week.

The video was posted with the caption reading, "BRANDI CHIN of Fairfield Pennsylvania st. If this isn't animal abuse I don't know what is."

"We are currently looking for her at this time. She is, from what I understand, hiding from us," Sergeant Michael Ramirez with Humane Animal Services told KTXL-TV, adding "she was recently seen walking down a business district in Fairfield, and she apparently had the dog by the tail, and she was swinging it around."

The woman who owns the surveillance camera that captured the footage told the station the woman had thrown the dog during an argument with her boyfriend.
