Orinda Man Sharing Name With Fired Eagles Coach Gets Flood Of Hateful Tweets

ORINDA (KPIX 5) -- An Orinda man has pretty much given up using his Twitter account because he shares a name with fired Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly.

Kelly was fired Tuesday after a rough season with the Eagles. Philadelphia fans weren't shy about letting him know that on Twitter, but they were actually letting Orinda's Chip Kelly know.

"@chipkelly Look into the innocent eyes of this Eagles fan and say you're sorry," one Twitter user posted.

"@chipkelly You got the game ****** up. Use a ho," another user posted.

Kelly isn't even an Eagles fan. He likes the Patriots, and his son has a Tom Brady jersey to prove it.

Kelly said he had all but given up using his account after getting hundreds of tweets directed at the ex-coach.

"There's one guy who said, 'I know you're not the real Chip Kelly, but please let me yell at you for a while,'" Kelly said.
