Napa Police Arrest Skinny-Dipping Couple After Struggle
NAPA (CBS SF) -- A man and a woman allegedly caught skinny dipping at a Napa hotel were arrested early Friday on suspicion of public drunkenness and resisting arrest after a struggle with police that ended with the man being Tasered.
Security at the Westin Verasa Napa Hotel in the 1300 block of McKinstry Street near Soscol Avenue called police shortly after midnight when the two subjects were seen allegedly jumping the fence into the pool area and skinny dipping, police said.
The two were described as intoxicated and also allegedly vandalized a fire extinguisher holder before leaving the area clothed.
Police located the two nearby under Soscol Avenue, but when they attempted to detain them the man, later identified as 43-year-old Justin Linkner, allegedly struggled with officers and was Tasered.
The woman, identified by police as 31-year-old Malissa Koven, allegedly tried to intefere and free Linkner, and was also arrested.
Two officers suffered minor injuries in the arrest.
Linkner and Koven, both Napa residents, were arrested on suspicion of charges including felony battery against a police officer, felony resisting arrest, felony taking of a person from a police officer and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
