Facebook CEO Zuckerberg Pledges To Work On Artificial Intelligence In 2016

MENLO PARK (CBS SF) – For his new year's resolution, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that he would work on an artificial intelligence system on his home and work in 2016.

According to a post on his Facebook page, Zuckerberg said the system would be a "simple" assistant, similar to the character Jarvis in "Iron Man."

Zuckerberg said he envisions an assistant that would recognize his voice to control lights and temperature at his home and to use facial recognition to know when friends visit. The system would also help check in on his new daughter Max, who was born in December.

"This should be a fun intellectual challenge to code this for myself," the CEO said.

In previous years, Zuckerberg has challenged himself in various ways, including reading two books every month and to only eat meat that he has hunted himself.
