SJSU Sorority House Ransacked As Girl Inside Slept
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Thieves ransacked the Kappa Delta sorority house at San Jose State University while one of the members was inside asleep.
According to University Police, most of the women were away for winter break, but one was at home when 2 suspects wearing hoodies entered the house on South 11th Street, around 3 a.m.
"It's a pretty brazen thing for someone to go in when someone's asleep," Capt. Alan Cavallo told the SJ Mercury. "Burglars don't typically like to be confronted."
Police said the intruders ransacked several rooms. One electronic item was taken, according to Cavallo.
The woman inside the house was not injured. The suspects are still at large.
