Sketch Released Of Man Who Stabbed, Robbed Woman In Santa Clara Park
SANTA CLARA (CBS SF) -- Police released a sketch Thursday of a man who stabbed and robbed a woman at a Santa Clark park Tuesday night.
The victim was at Central Park at 969 Kiely Blvd. around 9:15 p.m. when the suspect approached her near the pond and stabbed her multiple times with "a sharp instrument," police said.
He then took her wallet and cellphone before he fled the area on foot, according to police.
The woman was transported to a hospital for injuries that were not considered life threatening, police said.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man who is 20 to 22 years old with a medium-brown complexion and no distinctive accent, according to police.
He stood about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, had a thin build, no facial hair, wavy, shoulder-length dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, sunken cheeks and obvious cheekbones, police said.
His nose, chin and lips were thin and he might be a smoker, according to police.
At the time of the incident he wore a light-colored or beige, beach-style hooded sweatshirt that had a heavy thread and weave pattern, possibly with a front pocket, police said.
He was also dressed in dark gray or shiny black pants, possibly ones worn to warm up for basketball, according to police.
