11th Winter Storm Of January To Bring More Rain To The Bay Area

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Weather forecasters say the San Francisco Bay Area is expected to see more rain as the eleventh storm of 2016 rolls in Friday morning.

Sunshine is expected Wednesday followed by cloudier weather on Thursday and then rain on Friday. When the rain begins again on Friday morning, the Bay Area is likely to see another inch of rainfall.

Showers are expected to linger until Saturday morning with sunny skies on Sunday, according to KPIX 5 Chief Meteorologist  Paul Deanno.

Bay Area residents encountered flooded roadways, delayed BART service and power outages Tuesday morning. The California Highway Patrol responded to numerous traffic collisions Tuesday morning along with flooded roadways and small mudslides.

Between 1 and 3 inches of rain fell in the region Tuesday morning.
