Dinosaur Kidnapped From Haight Street After 'Living' In Front Of Store Since 1975
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A longstanding resident of San Francisco's Haight Street has been kidnapped, or more specifically, dinosaurnapped, and its owners are pleading for its return.
The large dinosaur statue was stolen from a shoe store's location sometime last week.
"Lost Dinosaur. He's big, turquoise, doesn't bite. If found, you know where he belongs. Please don't sit on him," a flier posted near Shoe Biz's Haight Street location.
The dinosaur has lived in front of the address for over 40 years.
"We really want to get him back. We don't think of him as our dinosaur, we think of him as the community's dinosaur," Shoe Biz II manager Chantal Jolagh told Hoodline.
