Two Teens Arrested For Robberies At Pleasanton's Stoneridge Mall

PLEASANTON (CBS SF) -- Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a pair of armed robberies that happened over the weekend at Stoneridge Mall, according to Pleasanton police.

According to a tweet by the Pleasanton Police Department Tuesday morning, the two suspects were taken into custody by Oakland police.

Police said one suspect is still on the loose.

The arrests were for two robberies at the Pleasanton mall. The first incident happened Saturday.

A 17-year-old girl was punched in the face and robbed as she crossed the parking lot. The suspects were seen driving away in a Mercedes SUV.

On Sunday, an elderly woman had her purse snatched at gunpoint. The victim said that one of the suspects brandished a shotgun or assault rifle as she struggled to hold on to her purse.

She was thrown to the ground and kicked before the trio sped off in what was described as a similar, light colored Mercedes SUV.

In both incidents, the three suspects were described young African-American males in their late teens or early 20s with slim builds. Police were able to distribute a sketch of one of the suspects based on descriptions from the victims.

Because the suspects are juveniles, their identities have not been released.
