Prince's Ex-Wife Auctioning Engagement Ring, Love Notes For $100K

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Some pretty pricey, personal pieces of Prince memorabilia are up for auction.

Ex-wife Mayte Garcia has decided to put her engagement ring up for auction along with a few other things His Royal Purpleness gave her during their union.

Fans have until Thursday, March 17th at 5 p.m. to get in on the action.

At first glance it looks like an okay ring. But honestly, the only thing special about it is that it was once purchased by Prince.

According to the auctioneer's website, the whole lot consists of a gold 2.2 carat diamond ring and comes with a set of handwritten heart-shaped notes "Prince used to lead her on a romantic journey to the ring."

And starting bid to take that 'trip'? $100,000.

Apparently, everything must go. Garcia is cleaning house, auctioning her wedding dress ensemble ($25,000), goblets from their wedding day ($20,000), even the wedding china Prince gave her, emblazoned with the the artist's 'Love Symbol' on each piece ($50,000+).

And there's more. You see, Garcia, is joined by former Prince manager Owen Husney and guitarist Dez Dickerson who are also selling off their Princely goods, for princely sums. Lots include clothes jewelry, a vintage Gibson guitar, handwritten lyrics, and tapes. Nothing is cheap, though.

The lowest starting bid?

$1000 -- for a scarf!
