'Shelter In Place' Lifted At East Bay Private School, Search For Suspects Continues

LAFAYETTE (CBS SF) -- A private school in Lafayette was ordered to shelter in place Tuesday afternoon as police scoured the area for a pair of men suspected in an auto burglary.

The order was lifted shortly before 2 p.m. and students at Bentley School were allowed to leave the campus. The school serves grades 9-12.

Officers with a K-9 unit continued to search the area of El Nido Ranch Road and Pine Lane for the men.

The only description of the suspects was '2 black males in dark clothing.'

Police were asking people to report anything unusual in the area by calling 911 or (925) 284-5010.
