Thieves Who Stole Bicycles From Campbell Apartment Complex Caught On Camera

CAMPBELL (CBS SF) -- Police released video Thursday of two men wanted for stealing bicycles worth thousands of dollars in Campbell last month.

The burglary happened at the Revere apartment complex at 1725 S. Bascom Ave. sometime between Feb. 20 and 21, when four bicycles were taken from a locked storage area, police said.

Video footage from a surveillance system at the complex showed two men exit a truck in the parking lot and one of them pry open a door while the other kept watch at the top of the stairs, police said.

The men are then seen going down the stairs and enter an underground parking garage, according to police.

The suspects pried their way past the storage room door and minutes later came out with four bicycles, police said.

One of the bicycles are described as a plum and black Ellsworth Epiphany valued at $3,000, according to police.

Another stolen bicycle was a gray men's Raleigh 29er belt drive worth $1,000, police said.

One of the suspects is described as a Hispanic man between 25 and 30 years old, standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds with a dark goatee, tattoo on the back of his neck and seen on video wearing a beanie, police said.

The second suspect is a Hispanic or white man between 25 and 30 years old, standing around 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing roughly 200 pounds with short dark hair and a goatee, according to police.

The suspect vehicle is described as an early 2000s two-tone Ford truck, police said.
