Video: Baby Giraffe Born At Santa Barbara Zoo

SANTA BARBARA (CBS SF) -- It's a boy! The Santa Barbara Zoo welcomed its latest addition to the giraffe herd last weekend.

The zoo posted a video of the "strong, healthy" baby boy bonding with his mom 'Audrey' on its Facebook page.

It's a boy! The Masai giraffe calf born here at the Santa Barbara Zoo on Saturday night is a strong, healthy male. The SBZ animal care team conducted his exam today and are excited to let us know he measured in at 6 ft. 6 in. and 191 lbs! At this point in time, baby is bonding with mother Audrey in the giraffe barn and is not yet visible to the public. Stay tuned to this page for more info to come - including this "little" guy's name! Born March 26 and weighing 191 pounds and measuring six feet and six inches, the Masai calf has yet to get a name. He joins baby girl calf 'Asha,' who was born March 14.
