PETA Offers Reward Following Animal Shootings At Berkeley Marina
BERKELEY (KCBS) – People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is offering a $5,000 reward after five animals were found dead or wounded near the Berkeley Marina last month.
On March 26th, a feral cat, a possum and three raccoons were found shot with a BB gun. There is also some concern that they may have been poisoned.
Three of the animals were already dead when they were discovered by a Marina groundskeeper. The other two died at Berkeley's animal shelter.
PETA said it's hoping the reward will lead to an arrest and conviction in the case. Anyone with information can call Berkeley Police.
