Warm, Freshly-Baked Cookie Delivery Start-Up Hits Bay Area

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A sweet new business out of Silicon Valley promises to deliver warm cookies whenever you want them.

Fresh from the oven and hot out the door.

It's the latest Silicon Valley start-up delivering warm cookies and cold milk to hungry hackathoners at almost any time of the day or night.

Nox Cookie Bar is the brain child of Silicon Valley veteran Nathan Pendleton.

"Hey, who doesn't like cookies and milk?" Pendleton remarked.

He launched the company with his own savings after being laid off in the software industry.

His company has a laser focus on feeding the hunger pangs of the Valley's workaholics and college students pulling all-nighters.

Nox delivers until 2:30 a.m..

Pendleton said,"The clock doesn't stop, you're on deadline. And there's been many a time when it's midnight, you run to the vending machine and you're just disappointed with the selection. So getting something fresh and brought to you, a nice warm snack…this is it."

Pendleton spent months developing recipes with head baker Lynne McQuade. The company makes seven kinds of cookies from scratch which can all be ordered from the noxcookiebar.com website.

The idea is catching on, proving that there are entrepreneurs above the age of 30 in Silicon Valley and that cookies and milk never get old.
