Suspect Arrested, Second Man Sought After Missing Woman Found Dead In Shallow Grave

EL SOBRANTE (CBS SF) -- A woman who went missing last week was found dead and buried outside an El Sobrante home and a man has been arrested in connection with the suspected homicide, Contra Costa County sheriff's officials said Thursday.

Kimberly Hoglund, a 47-year-old resident of the unincorporated area of East Richmond Heights, was initially reported missing by her family on April 13, according to the sheriff's office.

With foul play suspected, deputies searched a home in East Richmond Heights and a possible crime scene was located, but Hoglund wasn't, sheriff's officials said.

On April 14, 37-year-old El Sobrante resident Dylan Reese was arrested in connection with Hoglund's disappearance and was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility, sheriff's officials said.

Hoglund's body was then found on Tuesday in a shallow grave on a property on Appian Way in El Sobrante. Detectives believe she died shortly after she was last seen on March 28, sheriff's officials said.

The Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office confirmed Thursday that charges of murder and assault with a deadly weapon have been filed against Reese.

He's scheduled to be arraigned on the charges on Friday morning in a Richmond courtroom.

Another suspect, 43-year-old Richmond resident Andre Villedrouin, is also being sought in connection with Hoglund's death, according to the sheriff's office.

Anyone with information on Villedrouin's whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office at (925) 646-2441.
