Happy Birthday! Bay Area's Allen Quadruplets Turn 10

CONCORD (KPIX 5) -- There was a special birthday party for four Bay Area kids.

It's been 10 years since the Allen quadruplets entered this world on Mother's Day, 2006.

On Saturday they entered the double digits and a celebration swim party was definitely in order.

Kaitlyn and Kiley are identical twins. They say it's hard because they get asked who's who a lot.

Then there's Alyssa, and Zachary the lone boy.

"The girls, they usually fight over clothes and I have to deal with none of it," he says.

It's sibling rivalry times 4.

They have a big sister who's 16 months older. Her name is Sierra.

"The quads are always talking about being a quad," she says.

True. For the Allen's it's a way of life.

"I call it a counting game," says mom Natalie Allen. "Just constantly counting kids."

It's been quite a decade for her and the quad's dad, Pete.

"It feels like it's going fast," he says.

The quads agree, and it gets a little cumbersome at times.

"You have to go places with everyone and sometimes it's kind of frustrating," says Kiley.

But they all give the same answer when asked about the best things about being a quad.

"You have like someone to talk to and play with," says Alyssa.

These are four friends for life.

Happy birthday!
