Caught On Camera: Clumsy Thief Injures Self While Stealing Flag From Campbell Home

CAMPBELL (CBS SF) – Police in Campbell are searching for two men suspected of stealing American flags from homes in the area, with one theft caught on surveillance video.

A YouTube video posted by the department shows two men walking by a home on Harrison Avenue early on May 31st, talking about the Warriors playoff run. Video shows one of the men entering the front yard of the home, stealing an American flag and pole.

When making his getaway, the man fell as he tried to jump over the fence. The man ways laying on the ground and was heard moaning in pain, before he limped away with his companion from the scene.

Police said a second American flag was stolen from a home down the street.

The suspects have been described as men in their 20s. Police said the man who stole the flag in the video was wearing a dark colored t-shirt, light brown pants and a baseball cap. The second suspect was wearing what appeared to be a blue Golden State Warriors t-shirt and dark pants.

Police said the suspects were likely walking from a Downtown Campbell establishment to a home nearby.
