Now You Can Buy Dad A Tesla At Nordstrom
PALO ALTO (CBS SF) -- Attention Nordstrom shoppers: Still looking for the perfect gift for Dad? Check out the Teslas in the men's department.
That's right. Tesla is getting up close and personal with its base. Men. More specifically, men who shop at Nordstrom.
The Palo Alto-based electric carmaker is opening a "gallery" in the Nordstrom men's department at The Grove shopping multiplex in Los Angeles. The 400-square foot space will have a Model X SUV inside, alongside displays, Tesla salespeople, and even offer on-site test drives.
Nordstrom won't ring you up, though. Customers who decide to actually buy a Tesla can close the deal online, or at the dealership nearby.
The L.A. debut is on Saturday, just in time for Father's Day. And of course, they'll be selling Teslas to anyone who wants one -- men, women, moms and dads, even kids (if they're old enough to drive).
If this pairing is successful, you'll be seeing more of these so-called Tesla galleries at Nordstrom stores around country.
