Toddler Run Over, Injured By 300-Pound Robot At Stanford Shopping Center

KCBS_740 PALO ALTO (KCBS) -- A toddler was injured by a roaming security robot at the Stanford Shopping Center.

The shopping center has been using security robots to roam around the mall, patrolling the grounds.  The 16-month-old boy's foot was injured in the accident Thursday afternoon when one of the robots knocked him over, and ran over his foot.

The robots weigh around 300 pounds, and stand around five feet tall.

A representative with the shopping center told KCBS they had no comment on the incident.
