Early Morning Grass Fire In East San Jose Foothills Contained

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – A large grassfire has been contained in the East Hills of San Jose Thursday morning, according to fire officials.

A firefighter said the fire was reported at 2:28 a.m. on Sierra Road and burned around 10-acres.

Firefighters will remain on scene throughout the morning checking for hotspots.

Authorities told KPIX 5 that fireworks may have sparked the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
