Suspect Identified In Sexual Battery On UC Berkeley Campus

BERKELEY (CBS SF) – Police have identified a person who may have kissed two summer school students without their consent and inappropriately touched another victim through her clothing last week on the University of California at Berkeley campus, police said.

Officers are investigating the incidents, which occurred Tuesday afternoon July 5 on the university's Memorial Glade.

Police are describing the suspect as a white man, 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 50 years old and a 135 pounds. He has brown or hazel eyes and brown hair and may look younger than he is.

He has prominent cheekbones and had noticeable brown stubble on his face. He may have been dressed casually and carrying a camera, skateboard and/or backpack, police said.

Lt. Marc DeCoulode said police think they know who the person is but he has not been arrested.
