Gunman Opens Fire On Emeryville Police
EMERYVILLE (CBS SF) -- An unidentified gunman opened fire on two Emeryville police officers as they were on neighborhood foot patrol Friday night, authorities said.
According to the Emeryville Police Chief Jennifer Tejada tweeted that a single shot was fired at the officers while they were walking in the vicinity of Watts Street and Park Avenue around 8:30 p.m.
The officers were not injured, but investigators found a 9mm round in a nearby wall.
Further details were not immediately available and the shooter remained at large.
